Baltimore City’s New Horseshoe Casino is Open for Business!

The evening of Tuesday August 26th was a big one for Baltimore, MD. The new Horseshoe Casino Baltimore opened their doors for the first time to the public. The evening was filled with celebration, speeches, celebrity appearances and performances.

The Lighting Practice is part of the design team led by KA, Inc. and Friedmutter Group that worked tirelessly to ensure Horseshoe Casino Baltimore opened their doors on time and fully styled. TLP designed the interior lighting for the casino gaming floor and various food & beverage venues including Jack Binion’s Steak House, specialty restaurants by celebrity chefs Johnny Sanchez and Guy Fieri, and the Baltimore Marketplace food court. Opening Day Is Here For Baltimore City’s New Horseshoe Casino

BALTIMORE (WJZ)–The Horseshoe Casino has officially opened its doors to the public.

Meghan McCorkell has the first night.

People came from all over to see this party.

With glitz and glamor, Baltimore rolled out the red carpet for the opening of the new Horseshoe Casino.

“This is an exciting night,” said Governor Martin O’Malley.

The new $442 million facility officially opened its door. The space features 2,500 video lottery terminals, 100 table games and food from top celebrity chefs.

“Baltimore is that much cooler. There’s that much more going on,” said Duff Goldman.

“Huge bar, open kitchen,” said Guy Fieri. “All this energy happening. To be part of it, mind-blowing.”

The casino is hoping to bring in locals and those from far away.

“We’ll be able to draw additional tourism in from outside the city that will not only take part in what we have to offer here…but go out into the city, as well,” said Chad Barnhill, the casino’s general manager.
