Rittenhouse Hotel Reveals Details on New Spa, Set to Open This Summer

Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Hotel is known for its killer views and for honoring hometown favorite Grace Kelly with a cocktail in its new lobby bar, opened in the midst of a $10-million, 12-month refurbishment in anticipation of the hotel’s upcoming 25th anniversary.

More upgrades aren’t far behind, as the hotel announced that its new 15,000 square-foot spa facility, The Rittenhouse Spa & Club – Hair by Paul Labrecque, will open in late summer and contain a spa, health club, and salon.

The spa will blend black stone and glass in its ambiance and have nine treatment rooms to go along with what the hotel is calling Philly’s first-ever “Spa Suite.” Designed for up to eight guests with weddings in mind, the flagship suite will feature a dressing area, bathroom, rain showers, two treatment beds, cocktail offerings, and Tata Harper and Natura Bissé skin-care products. The salon portion will be run by Manhattan-based stylist Paul Labrecque, who was recognized by Vanity Fair as one of the “Top 3 Stylists” in the country.

But it’s not all for the ladies. The salon will also have a barber shop section where men can get an hour-long “Indulgent Shave” to go along with a scotch and cigar.
