Avenue of the Arts

Philadelphia, PA

Avenue of the Arts is a registered historic district and the heart of Philadelphia’s arts and theater scene. The Lighting Practice designed façade lighting for twelve buildings in a six-block area. Programmable LEDs were used on twelve buildings and metal halide lighting for two others. All buildings are networked with wireless links into a single control system – making the Avenue the site of the largest synchronized permanent lighting display in the US, outside of Disney’s Epcot.

TLP continues to provide on-going show programming to create a nightly “ballet of light” that attracts visitors and residents and promotes the area as a venue for seasonal, entertainment-based celebrations.
