This new 200,000 SF casino was designed to spur entertainment development in the city of Baltimore. The owners wanted lighting that delivered excellent return on investment and superior aesthetics. To achieve this goal the entire lighting design utilized LED technology, the majority of which are incandescent fixtures with LED replacement lamps. High contrast lighting was utilized to attract customers. Poker tables feature chandeliers with built-in uplight and accents to pop table surfaces. Aiming angles were kept high so serious players can shadow their cards. The casino hosts 6 restaurants, casual and upscale. Backlit panels and built-in millwork lighting were used for an integrated lighting appearance in hospitality areas. Emphasis was placed on unique interior finishes and wall art. Backlit bottles and merchandise were accented to drive sales. RGB grazers behind curtains and tall video screens at the casino’s hub add to the atmosphere providing excitement and energy to the overall project.
