Amanda Constantine AIAS

Lighting Designer I

Amanda Constantine joined The Lighting Practice in 2016 while pursuing her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Drexel University. After graduation, she decided to continue her career in lighting design.  Amanda’s love of lighting began with her interest in using light to shape an atmosphere and draw attention to key aspects of a building or place. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and exploring outdoors. Since joining TLP, her project experience has expanded to include corporate, education, retail, site and exterior lighting.

What is your favorite computer program? Why?
Photoshop would have to be my favorite program because it helps you see a project come to life with all the materials and light.

What is your favorite thing about working Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is a great city to work in since there is so much going on. There are so many different people and so many types of buildings and architecture surrounding you at any time.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume alone?
During the summer of 2016 I went on a five-week road trip across the country and hit many of the national parks and drove through the majority of the states. I got to see a lot of the country in such a short time and it expanded my love for the outdoors.

What/where is your ideal vacation?
The Redwood forest, Glacier National Park, or anywhere outdoorsy.  I love hiking through the forest and mountains and would spend days out in the woods if I had the time.
