After completing a successful major renovation to the interiors and entries of Brookfield Square Mall, CBL & Associates approached the same design team for a 22,000 SF exterior expansion meant to reactivate the perimeter of the mall along the Sears anchor and turn tenants outward for a more engaging first impression. The Lighting Practice worked closely with the design team to create a main street retail experience for shoppers. New decorative lighting is used at the pedestrian level to activate the storefronts without overpowering the tenant branding. Additional upper-level architectural façade accents at the cornices animate the buildings from the nearby major roads. Illuminated light boxes add additional dimension.
