On Monday April 24, Rochelle Spahn, Associate, will lead an informative session at AIA Philadelphia Suburban Pro Con on how daylight can increase energy efficiency and lower costs.
The Suburban Pro Con will be held at Huntingdon Valley Country Club, the same location as the AIA Philadelphia Golf Outing. Rochelle’s session, Designing with Daylight, will illustrate, through a retail case study, the importance of balancing daylight and electric light for the client’s bottom line and sustainability goals. Participants will learn how to evaluate architectural forms and finishes to determine if daylighting is a viable solution for their project as well as options for maximizing the use of daylight. Participants will learn how to gather, understand, and translate environmental data into cost savings for their clients.
