Hamilton Guillén
Lighting Designer I
Hamilton Guillén joined TLP in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in lighting design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Hamilton is actively engaged in several professional organizations, including the International Association of Lighting Designers New York Section (IALDNY), where he serves as Chapter Coordinator, and the Illuminating Engineering Society New York City Section (IESNYC), where he contributes to the Programs Committee. Hamilton believes that lighting is a uniquely powerful medium, capable of creating visually striking, emotionally resonant experiences, while constantly evolving with cutting-edge technology.

Lighting is a powerful storytelling and placemaking design discipline.
What is your dream project?
Designing the lighting for an immersive Earth-themed speakeasy on a future space colony.
You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Electric Orchid. I like the idea of new, hybrid forms between nature and technology.
