The Lighting Practice welcomes Hamilton Guillén to the team!
The key to The Lighting Practice’s legacy of excellence is its talented team of lighting designers. These professionals combine their ideas, knowledge, and talents to transform ordinary spaces into captivating and memorable places. TLP’s design team is growing, the firm recently hired Hamilton Guillen to support our growing firm.
Hamilton Guillén joined TLP in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in lighting design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Hamilton is actively engaged in several professional organizations, including the International Association of Lighting Designers New York Section (IALDNY), where he serves as Chapter Coordinator, and the Illuminating Engineering Society New York City Section (IESNYC), where he contributes to the Programs Committee. Hamilton believes that lighting is a uniquely powerful medium, capable of creating visually striking, emotionally resonant experiences, while constantly evolving with cutting-edge technology.
