Fall of 2015 is going to bring another major destination to Philadelphia’s hospitality and nightlife scene, The Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel. The former Four Seasons located at Logan Square on the Benjamin Franklin Parkways is currently under construction. BLT Architects and Dawson Design Associates are leading the design team in the hotel’s renovation and expansion project. The Logan will feature multiple upgrades including a new lobby bar, steakhouse, and rooftop lounge. The Logan Hotel Opens in Philadelphia this fall.
The Lighting Practice is working with the design team to incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient lighting systems throughout the hotel. TLP is focusing our efforts on the entrance lobby, new lobby bar, restaurant, ballrooms, meeting spaces, exterior terrace, and rooftop lounge. While the new lighting system will provide an elevated look, not all of the existing lighting will be replaced. Where appropriate, TLP will be working with the team to reuse and re-lamp fixtures. This approach will improve the performance and output of light while maintaining the physical look of the fixture. Our team has enjoyed the design process and opportunity to reinvent a hospitality icon. We are looking forward to the renovation’s completion and an opportunity to enjoy the rooftop lounge!

Truly, Philadelphia’s hotel scene just keeps on getting better.
This fall, Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway will welcome a new flag for its longtime anchor hotel when the Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel makes its anticipated debut.
The just-announced concept, a part of Curio – A Collection by Hilton, succeeds the Four Seasons Philadelphia hotel on the Parkway, which held court on Logan Square for more than 30 years and recently shuttered to prepare for a transition to new sky-high digs when the Comcast Innovation & Technology Center opens in 2018.
But for all those who shed a tear when the Four Seasons Philadelphia closed its doors, be prepared to dry those eyes.
Sage Hospitality, a Denver-based hotel development and management company, has revealed its plans for an independent-style luxury hotel in the Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel — and the blueprints look beautiful.
