As small business owners, creating the space and time needed to plan for the future can be challenging, but it is also imperative to the successful growth of a firm. This leadership-focused panel discussion will pull back the curtain revealing one firm’s experience navigating significant leadership, structural, and philosophical changes, including those that were planned and others that were unanticipated. Panelists, representing different perspectives and roles within the 30+-year-old firm, will share insights and lessons learned from a multi-year period spent navigating 43% firm growth, leadership transitions including the retirement of the founder, firm workflow restructuring, and geographic expansion.
- Helen Diemer, FIALD, LEED AP, Principal, will speak to her experience leading a diverse, growing team through multiple downturns, ownership transitions, geographic expansions, and planning for leadership transition and identifying her successor.
- Michael Barber, Assoc. IALD, LEED AP BD+C, Principal, will speak to growing up in the firm, his evolving leadership role, and his transition to becoming the next President/CEO while maintaining team satisfaction and a consistent client experience.
- Pomme Lee, LEED AP, LC, Associate Principal, will speak about her experience joining the leadership team and taking on the role of Team Performance Captain, implementing team management, recruiting, hiring, and workflow changes, as well as what the future holds for the firm.
- Darcy Veneziale, CPSM, Director of Marketing at KSS Architecture, will moderate the conversation.
